Our Story
Every wardrobe has those few pieces you reach for without thinking. The ones that feel familiar from the very first wear. The ones that somehow fit every plan, they're comfortable, dependable and quietly beautiful. This feeling became the starting point for Zariyaa.
The label was founded by Kunwar Sudhanshu, a NIFT graduate whose years in the fashion industry were shaped by working closely with designers, craft-led brands and garment construction. Starting his own label was always part of the journey, but never part of the immediate plan. Like most designers, he believed experience had to come first. There would be more years of learning, more time in the industry, and eventually, the confidence to build something of his own.
Life, however, had other plans.
An unexpected pause brought him back home, where conversations with family slowly changed the way he looked at that timeline. The more he waited for the perfect moment, the more he realised that perfection has a habit of staying just out of reach. At some point, every dream asks for the same thing, not certainty, but a beginning.
Zariyaa grew from that decision. It wasn't created because everything was in place. It was created because some ideas become stronger the longer you carry them, and eventually, the only thing left to do is bring them to life.
Our Philosophy
Too often, ethnic wear is reserved for occasions. It's beautiful, but heavy. Thoughtfully made, yet difficult to wear often. We wanted to explore another side of Indian dressing, one that's lighter, softer and naturally becomes part of everyday life.
Every collection begins with the same questions. How does this fabric feel against the skin? Will someone want to wear this for hours? Can this silhouette move easily through the day? Does every detail deserve to be there?
The answers shape everything we make.
Breathable cottons, airy textures, relaxed silhouettes, delicate lace, subtle embroidery and gentle colour palettes come together to create garments that feel easy rather than overwhelming. Traditional elements are never treated as decoration alone, they're reinterpreted with restraint, allowing each piece to feel contemporary while still carrying a sense of familiarity.
We don't design around trends. We design around longevity. Not just in quality, but in the way a garment continues to feel relevant season after season.
Our Vision
Zariyaa is, quite simply, our way of making everyday Indian wear feel lighter, softer and a little more personal.
They're the kurta you instinctively pack for every trip. The dress you wear until it becomes your favourite. The co-ord set that works just as well with handcrafted jewellery as it does with sneakers. The outfit that quietly becomes part of your routine because it never asks you to choose between comfort and feeling put together.
That is the space Zariyaa hopes to occupy.
As we continue to grow, our purpose remains unchanged: to create clothing that fits naturally into everyday life while celebrating the ease, warmth and versatility of Indian dressing.
Because beautiful clothes shouldn't wait in wardrobes for special occasions.
